Dea's Love For Specialty Cold Brew

Tell us about yourself:

I am an entrepreneur. I have a business by the name of Zikrr, a newly launched, homegrown ittar brand. A typical day for me is all emails, brainstorming sessions and interaction with a diverse mix of people to keep Zikrr thriving. And of course, you'll find me running after my dog most often. 

How did you get introduced to Specialty Cold Brew?:

It was an accident, really. I think it was 2 years ago that I was out with colleagues to a coffee shop, and someone in the group ordered a cold brew. It seemed interesting and so I got one too. Since then, cold brews are synonymous with my summers!  

How do you like your Cold Brew?:

Most times, it’s a 60ml with an ice cube. Other times (read weekends), I’d do a cocktail out of whiskey and cold brew!

What do you think is ‘The Next Wave’ of coffee?:

Just how Perfume Tourism is on the rise, Coffee Tourism will gain momentum too, including and not restricted to visiting coffee farms, indulging in coffee tastings, and learning about coffee production. And in the age of AI, nothing is beyond the scope of Tech - that includes coffee too - equipment, coffee makers that give consumers control over brewing/ steeping processes will become common. 

Lastly, what do you think about Breww 47?:

I'm a Single Malt fan, hands down. My second favorite is After Party. While the former is strong and true to its name, the latter is easy on the palate, which opens doors for several concoctions and indulgences.

Tell us about yourself: 

I'm Nishant Arora, AVP - Transactions at Qdesq, and a proud member of the coworking ecosystem where coffee is practically a lifeline. ☕️

My typical workday is packed with client meetings, often held at coworking spaces, and yes, there’s always a cup of coffee involved, no matter the time of day. If we’re not meeting in the office, you can bet I’m taking clients to a great coffee shop.

On weekends, I make it a mission to explore at least one new café or coffee shop, discovering what fresh ideas they’re brewing in the coffee world. And at home, I’m still living that childhood moment where parents ask their kids to perform in front of guests—except now, I’m asked to show off my coffee-making skills!

 

How did you get introduced to Specialty Cold Brew?

I have to admit, coffee has been a part of my daily routine for as long as I can remember. But over time, it started to contribute to my acidity levels, so I had to find an alternative. That’s when a client introduced me to cold brew coffee, which he sourced from South Korea. Since then, it’s become a regular part of my routine.

At first, it was tough to find cafés in Delhi NCR that offered cold brews, but in the last few years, availability has really taken off. My love for cold brew has grown so much that I have started preparing my own at home and store it for later. While I do have other equipment to brew in different styles, cold brew just hits the spot for me—and it’s super easy to take on the go.


How do you like your Cold Brew?

Cold brew is fantastic on its own, but whenever I get the chance, I like to mix things up a bit. One of my favorite combos is adding a splash of ginger ale, half a teaspoon of lemon juice, and a generous amount of ice to the cold brew. Stir it well, and you’ve got one of the best ways to beat the heat.

Another great mix: a bit of cranberry juice, a dash of soda, topped with ice and cold brew. Give it a good stir, and you’ve got yourself a refreshing drink that’s hard to resist.


What do you think is ‘The Next Wave’ of coffee?

The coffee ecosystem in India has evolved drastically. We've moved from instant coffee to savoring rich South Indian filter coffee, embraced a growing café culture with espresso-based beverages, and now we're diving into specialty cold brews and beyond. It’s been quite a journey, and as trends continue to evolve, more and more people are developing a deeper appreciation for coffee.

Cold foam, barrel-aged brews, nitro cold brew, citrus-infused drinks, sparkling water, and a variety of milk options—these are some of the hottest trends in the coffee world right now. I believe the next big thing will be pairing these innovative beverages with the perfect food choices, making the experience even more irresistible.


Lastly, what do you think about Breww 47?

Guys, I tried three of your variants, and I have to say, they’re all fantastic! It’s clear they were crafted with care and attention to detail. The packaging is also top-notch. It would be great to see more flavored variants in the future, and maybe consider making the bottles reusable.

Anubhav's Love For Specialty Cold Brew

Tell us about yourself: 

Hi there! My name is Anubhav Pandey, and I am a software professional. A typical day in my life starts early, usually around 6 AM, with a brisk morning run or a game of lawn tennis to kickstart the day. I prefer to have a shot of cold brew coffee before my workout to fuel my body. My work involves a blend of strategic planning, creative brainstorming, and team collaboration. I typically pack a tumbler of cold brew coffee to savor between work meetings. In the evenings, I unwind with a good book or spend quality time with family and friends. Weekends are often reserved for exploring new coffee shops and experimenting with different cold brew recipes.

How did you get introduced to Specialty Cold Brew?: 
My love affair with cold brew began about five years ago during a hot summer. In the past, I was mostly hooked on green tea, but options were seriously limited in summer unless you wanted sugar-based drinks or juices. A colleague introduced me to cold brew coffee, and I was instantly hooked. I started brewing on my own and experimenting with different recipes. The ability to craft a delicious cold brew at home became a delightful hobby, apart from exploring coffee shops.
 
How do you like your Cold Brew?: 
The best part of cold brew is that there is no one way to have it. My go-to cold brew is with coconut milk. I generally procure coffee beans and grind them coarse for a French press. I typically create a batch that can last a few days with a 1:6 ratio of coffee to cold water and brew for 16-18 hours. Serve over ice with a splash of coconut milk and a dash of vanilla extract for a touch of sweetness. You can enjoy it any time of the day!
 
What do you think is ‘The Next Wave’ of coffee?:
I believe the next wave of coffee will focus heavily on sustainability and health benefits. Cold brew has quietly emerged as a healthier alternative to conventional coffee beverages. The evolution of e-commerce, recent innovations in technology, and social media are here to provide an immersive experience for coffee lovers. I see more and more local players playing a big role in shaping the next wave of coffee in India, and there is serious potential in this market as well as globally.
 
Lastly, what do you think about Breww 47?: 
Breww 47 has quickly become one of my favorite coffee brands. Your dedication to quality and flavor is evident in every sip. The unique flavor profiles and smooth finish of your cold brews are truly exceptional. One area for improvement could be the expansion of your product line to include more seasonal and limited-edition brews. It would be exciting to see how Breww 47 experiments with different beans and flavor infusions to create new and unique offerings.
